Newsletter – October 2022

“white boxers”

newsletter no 7 – october 2022

greetings – we hope this months offering finds you and yours both fit and well

shed base

not much riding for us to report this month – as all our spare time and energy has gone into clearing space and preparing the 12 x 16ft concrete base for our new storage shed – to house both event hardware and personal adventure toys – that is coming early november

the fred whitton is a breeze compared to the graft that has gone into this project !! but the end is in sight – just in time for winter

bellion rides  – the final one of these self-guided versions of our events will take place on 9 october 2022.

we took the difficult decision to halt our programme of popular sportives back in april – to give us some breathing space and re examine the way we run our events to best suite our riders, our team of helpers and residents of the areas we visit and ride through.

they are clearly not what we or riders want to offer or experience, and we can’t wait to get back to our usual fully supported sportives again next year.

our 2023 sportives

u turn on entry fee increases – a bit like the government, we can announce today that we have decided not to increase any entry fees for our 2023 sportives after all.

we will keep them at 2021 levels in the hope that we attract increased rider numbers, to cover our ever-increasing overheads instead.

winter training – as the nights draw in and the temperature drops, we look forward to putting mudguards and lights back on the road bikes for occasional weekend rides.

getting down and dirty on the mountain bikes as well as dusting off the rollers and sweating away the winter on weekly spinning classes at the brilliant 3-1-5 health club.
